Bast is a black metal/doom trio who like to experiment and their debut album, "Spectres" fully embraces this; the album has been re-released and repressed on vinyl marking a busy year ahead for the band.. Opening song, "In The Beginning" is an atmospheric suspenseful largely instrumental number, but eventually is complimented by distant resonant screams, leaving a very gloomy presence in it's wake... "Denizens" contains powerful menacing screams which grab your attention, along with the crushing dark backdrop.
