Following on from the last two successful events across 2023 & 2024, White Lightning PR is proud to announce the return of Brighton & Hove Pride’s Pride Rock Festival taking place this summer August 1 at Chalk. The all inclusive event originated from a desire to represent musical diversity at Brighton Pride, and showcase rock/alt talents to support the LGBTQ+ community. Tickets are on sale now HERE.
Headlining the event is Sophie Lloyd with main support coming from Bex, the final support will be announced at a later date. Sophie is a trail blazing guitarist who has amassed the kind of following that even the guitar gods she grew up idolizing would be envious of, with a reach surpassing 180 million views on YouTube and over 4 million followers across her social channels.

Most recently, Sophie could be seen shredding on stage touring globally as guitarist for Machine Gun Kelly, taking on his Mainstream Sellout World Tour, sold out shows at legendary venues such as Madison Square Garden New York and Wembley Arena in
London and festivals in Lollapalooza, Hellfest, Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park, alongside huge sporting events in the NBA and NFL.
Sophie released her debut solo album ‘Imposter Syndrome’ in November 2023, a completely independent endeavour via her own Autumn Records label. Recorded during the covid lockdown, Sophiereached out to some of her heroes to collaborate, on boarding names such as Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Matt Heafy (Trivium), Chris Robertson (Black Stone Cherry). The album received rave reviews, hitting number 3 in the rock chart and 11 in the independent albums chart on week of release, with the music videos for the album receiving over 8.6 million views and counting.
BEX is hailed as punk’s newest daughter who is a fierce punk rocker who believes in the power of DIY. Known for crafting bass-heavy songs that speak to her experiences as a woman, BEX’s music boldly highlights the ongoing inequalities she sees in the world. “I’m excited to be back by the beach, on a stage rocked by SNAYX & Hot Milk. White Lightning owner and operator James Innes enthuses of the unique event, “We’ve had two fantastic years and in my initial research, realising there wasn’t a Pride rock music event, I found among the growing list of genres available to the listening public that LGBTQ listeners are predominantly listening to rock and pop music on a weekly basis, with 46% of LGBTQ respondents saying they listen to rock music on a weekly basis, while 34% said they listen to pop on a weekly basis.
