One Weekend, 36 Bands; Hammerdown Festival comes back to Brighton in July 2-25 + More Bands Announced!
The 8th Hammerdown Festival heads to Chalk in Brighton for it’s biggest ever event. This time, it also features a second stage, downstairs in new venue Dust.
Founded in 2014, Hammerdown Festival has welcomed the likes of Acres, Fort Hope, Thecityisours, Esoterica, InMe, South Of Salem and many more over the years, providing a platform for local emerging grassroots artists to join these national touring acts on stage. This year, The Raven Age, Dream State, and NWOBHM legends Demon and Tygers Of Pan Tang all head to Hammerdown.
Managing Director Harry White said “For 2025, we’re hugely excited to be adding a second stage. It’s been a goal of ours for many years to welcome even more grass roots talent to Hammerdown via the edition of another stage, and the 2 venues we’re working with are state of the art.”
Harry’s team also worked through hundreds of applications from bands to play the festival. A judging panel featuring Luke Keast of Esoterica, Adam Leader of In Search Of Sun, and industry experts to select 2 up and coming acts to earn
themselves coveted slots at the event.
“Every year, our goal as a team is to make every band feel like rockstars. We provide the bands with riders, interview them, have professional photographers and videographers get content for them free of charge... all in order to elevate them above the sea of excellent talent in what is now the most competitive music scene we’ve ever known”- Harry White
Hammerdown Festival has just announced 4 more bands today:
Secondly, after several excursions to the UK over the last year, Dublin extreme metallers The Band - Horrenda are bringing the heavy to our second stage. Having recently played Brighton twice, we know the locals have thoroughly enjoyed their performances, and we can't wait to bring them back to our great city.
Next up, the 2 bands opening proceedings on our second stage. Local lads Sero hit hard with big riffs and killer screams. Having sharpened their teeth playing several Hammerdown Takeover shows, now is the time to take things to the next level!
Our other opener this year, Leave No Witness, a fantastic metalcore band from the midlands. After hearing their banger Polarity, we had to get them on board. The perfect band to open up the Sunday at Hammerdown! There's lots to come from these guys soon..
