EPICA announce new album 'Aspiral' + release music video for 'Cross The Divide'

Symphonic metal titans EPICA are excited to announce that their 9th studio album Aspiral will be out on April 11th, via Nuclear Blast Records. The album title is derived from the eponymous bronze sculpture made by Polish sculptor and painter Stanisław Szukalski back in 1965 and stands for renewal and inspiration – keywords that define EPICA in 2025. In Szukalski’s work every detail is a piece of art in its own right, and there’s always more to the story than you initially think. The band saw this as the perfect analogy for the creation of this 9th album: each song stands on its own with a distinctive vibe and meaning, while together they enforce each other into a monumental effort. The album, featuring stunning cover artwork by Hedi Xandt (Rammstein, Ghost, Parkway Drive), is now available for pre-order in the below mentioned formats. The special editions even include the BluRay and audio recordings of the full monumental “Symphonic Synergy” performance in Amsterdam that the ban...

It was an angry record made by an angry band.   The Darkness have released their brand new single ‘Rock And Roll Party Cowboy’, the opening track of their forthcoming album Dreams On Toast out March 28th via Cooking Vinyl. Pre-order the album now here . The Darkness go hell for leather on the new single, channelling the sounds of hard rock legends such as ZZ Top, Motörhead and Judas Priest with searing solos, hell-raising vocals and a fist-pumpin’ rhythm section to create a tongue-in-cheek reflection on the hedonistic, macho music scene of the ‘70s and ‘80s. Regarding the single, frontman Justin Hawkins says, “People recognise me as astronaut pirate movie star cool and that’s obviously accurate. What they may have overlooked though, is that I am also ROCK AND ROLL PARTY COWBOY cool… which is a good 15 percent cooler!!! The track explores concepts of honesty, as frontman Dani Winter-Bates expands “both within yourself and the people around you. To be dishonest with yourself leads to decisions based in fear and can lead to regret, while to be true to yourself can cost some of the things you hold closest”. Co-v...

BLEED FROM WITHIN release video for new single 'A Hope In Hell'

Fresh off a monumental tour supporting genre greats SLIPKNOT across the UK and Europe, BLEED FROM WITHIN have released the video for their new single 'A Hope In Hell'. The latest cut from new album Zenith, that's set for release on the 4th April via Nuclear Blast Records, is a brooding, anthemic slab of the kind of cutting edge, modern metal than BLEED have become synonymous with. On the new single, the band comment: "A Hope In Hell" is one of the more melodic cuts from our latest album and one that we all connected with early in the writing process. The evolution of this song is a great indicator of what we've explored on our latest release; we've pushed ourselves melodically, but also found a dark and heavy groove that really underpins our sound. Looking at the lyrics, life doesn't get any easier and everyone you know is dealing with its challenges. We are caught in repeating cycles of adversity and hardship, but our perception can change once we acc...
