Prepare to be captivated by the raw power and unbridled emotion of COMMON TONGUE, with their hard-hitting rock straight from the sunny shores of Southsea, England. This dynamic duo, comprised of friends Matt Thompsett (Guitar/Vocals) and Matt Winterman (Drums), create fuzz laden alt-rock with true vigour and intrigue.

Announcing themselves in late 2023 with their debut single Isolation, COMMON TONGUE made an immediate impact on the rock scene. And ever since, the single’s honesty and haunting lyrics have set the stage for a series of successful releases.

Pulling influence from rock icons such as Muse, Queens Of the Stone Age, and Biffy Clyro, COMMON TONGUE shake up the alt rock genre, adding their very own impressions and nuances. The duo encompasses a sound that is melodically complex, yet deeply alluring, powerful, raw, and entirely enthralling. Thompsett's commanding vocals and fuzzed up guitar tones blend seamlessly with Winterman's imposing and rhythmic drumming. The end result is distinguished, driven, and completely unmissable.
