SINGLE REVIEW: Them Damn Kings - 'Shown With A Fist'

THEM DAMN KINGS started as a one-man hard rock machine created by New Jersey, USA native, guitarist/multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Jef Rhodes. Jef is a long-time professional Front Of House engineer and backline tech who has over two decades of international touring experience with such bands as Lacuna Coil, Opeth, Cradle of Filth, Highly Suspect, Watain, Mayhem, and others.

By enlisting former Lacuna Coil drummer Ryan Blake Folden, the pair have recorded “Rise Up”, a monster of a debut album that sounds both new and exciting – while simultaneously reminding listeners of that golden age of the early ‘90s when hard rock, metal, and grunge ruled the late night rock clubs of the world. The album "Rise Up" was unleashed in September 2022.

Now in 2024, Them Damn Kings are back with new music in the form of the single 'Shown With A Fist', and Jef and drummer Ryan Blake Folden are joined by Chris J Bridges (Rhythm Guitarist).

'Shown With A Fist' is a stomping and exhilarating hard rock hit that should appease old and new rockers alike. It embraces a classic 80s sound mixed with modern metal elements and is armed with tonnes of passion and energy, offering something for everyone.
