Following their triumphant start to 2024 which has seen Scottish pop-fueled post-hardcore outfit newshapes open up for both Atreyu and The Blackout, they today look at life after love with their new single ‘feel it’. The emphatic new single sees newshapes team up with Scott Kennedy of Scottish compatriots Bleed From Within in a track that shows off newshapes’ heaviest tendencies with a heartfelt flair.
Speaking about ‘feel it’ newshapes vocalist Ian Mann comments, “After finishing our debut EP I felt like there were still a few things that I hadn’t quite managed to release from within myself, and continued writing to try and find words that would bring this creative chapter of the band to a close. ‘feel it’ is both a literal and spiritual successor to the emotions and thoughts explored during ‘i hope this finds you’, looking at a life beyond love after an EP that kind of tended to indulge feelings of heartbreak.”
Bleed From Within vocalist Scott Kennedy speaks about featuring on the track "I’m really stoked to be a part of the new single from my hometown boys newshapes. I’m a huge fan of this style of music and it’s rare I get asked to guest on stuff of this genre, it was a no brainer for me."

In newshapes’ first 2 years as a band, they have captivated the alternative music scene. Their debut EP ‘i hope this finds you’ (released in October 2023), led by enormous lead single ‘foreverend’; a track with a chorus that wouldn’t be misplaced if set amongst the anthems of 2010s emo and alternative royalty has steam rolled to over 400,000 streams to-date, with the tracks collecting seven Spotify editorial placements (including All New Rock and All New Metal), and five plays on BBC Radio One’s Rock Show and Introducing Rock Show. The band’s early success led them to invigorating performances delivered on some of Glasgow’s biggest stages alongside the likes of Atreyu, The Blackout, The Nightmares and more.
