Today Judas Priest score the highest charting effort of their 50-year career, with the release of the critically acclaimed nineteenth studio album Invincible Shield.
The heavy metal icons’ previous career best was their seminal metal masterpiece British Steel, which peaked at #4 back in 1980.
Having sold a massive 18,000 copies of Invincible Shield in the UK, the band better their last effort, 2018’s Firepower, which peaked at #5.
Judas Priest also become the first and only metal band to release album projects 50 years apart; their debut record Rocka Rolla was released in 1974.
This week the band embarked on their Invincible Shield UK Arena Tour, culminating in a huge headline show at London’s OVO Wembley Arena on 21st March.
