Giorgio Gomelsky 'For Your Love' is a biography written by Francis Dumaurier, a French author, actor, host/producer, musician and most importantly, a close friend of Giorgios's for over thirty years. This biography was originally published in France but has fortunately been translated into English, making it available to more music fans worldwide.

For those who may not know who Giorgio Gomelsky is, he was at the forefront of the counterculture in 60s London and 70s Paris before running a studio for upcoming and avant-garde musicians in New York. He was impressively the original manager of the Rolling Stones and the Yardbirds (the band has been revered for the legendary guitarists who have contributed to the band's history including Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. Also the book title is named after the Yardbirds first album), then managed the French supergroup Magma and developed the career of Gong. Gomelsky was pivotal in rock music in the 60s and 70s, and this biography highlights that. So this book will be appreciated by fans of Giorgio, and even those who aren't familiar will enjoy learning about his influence, life and music history that is covered.

Gomelsky never got around to writing his memoir or biography. Still, thankfully his friend Francis Dumaurier did it for him, and he brilliantly describes Gomelsky's life and passion for music in a personal telling that only a friend could offer. It demonstrates how Giorgio was ahead of the times regarding music and technology.

'For Your Love' is a great tribute and recollection of Giorgio Gomelsky's life and his influences on culture and music as told by close friends and those that knew and worked with him, such as musicians Jesse Malin, Brad Rim, Amy Madden and Raul Gonzalez. It is a genuine and interesting read to discover more about Giorgio and his life as well as the history of the music era of the 60s and 70s rock. Now, thanks to this English edition, more can read about Giorgio's life and influences that helped shape rock music so he can get the remembrance he deserves.
