Newcastle Upon Tyne Alternative Post-Hardcore band ‘headcage’ are today proud to share their brand new single ‘nothing’. With influences that lie within the early noughties post-hardcore, emo & metal brackets, ‘headcage’ have blended riff-based grooves with colossal, melodic vocal crooning to create their new single ‘nothing’. It’s a track that encapsulates everything headcage stands for.
“Lyrically the song details the struggle to overcome the feeling of uselessness and the everyday battles that come alongside living with ADHD and Anxiety. I wanted to state in layman’s terms the difficulty that I face to remain persistent or disciplined in many aspects of my life. The song itself acts as catharsis, a real and true personal expression of the negative aspects of these conditions that I have to face everyday”. - Vocalist - Leyum Pattinson

Having premiered on BBC Radio 1 by Alyx Holcombe earlier this week who said “It slaps so hard”, ‘nothing’ is already reaching new heights from where the band left off last year. 2022 saw headcage named ‘track of the week’ on BBC Radio 1 Future Alternative and saw the band pick up great support from Punktastic, Idobi Radio, ERB, Total Rock and much more.
