With the beautiful sunshine weekend that was ARCTANGENT Festival 2022 still very much lodged in the recent memory banks (and lauded by The Guardian in their 5/ review HERE), the first bands for the 2023 event can now be announced, all for the Wednesday. The 4 day event will be taking place next year between the 16th and 20th August, with the Wednesday 16th being a limited entry for 4 day ticket holders only - and these always sell out VERY much in advance.
All of these bands are returning to ATG following on from their stellar 2022 sets, and are a mixture of the very new to the more established fan favourites. The one main thing they have in common is they are all utterly exceptional. ATG festival booker and promoter James Scarlett explains - “I’m absolutely ecstatic with the Wednesday line up at ATG 2023, it is literally a Greatest Hits of everything that happened in 2022. I will 100% see you at the front at 2pm on Wednesday August 16th. It is all killer no filler so don’t be late!”
Headlining on Wednesday are the brilliant Bristol based audio visual EBM group Scalping, whose recent debut album release 'Void' helped solidify their incredible and growing reputation of a band helping bridge the gap between live guitar music and live electronic music. Also playing are possibly one of the best heavy bands in UK music right now Conjurer, whose recent 'Páthos' album quite rightly will be firmly placed in so many peoples best of 2022 album lists. We also have Scottish progressive 5 piece DVNE, Belgian 5 piece Hippotraktor and the brand new band featuring Will Gardner (ex of Black Peaks), Skin Failure.
The FULL list of bands being announced today, 2nd November:
Scalping (headliner) / Conjurer / DVNE / Hippotraktor / Skin Failure / Bicurious / Five the Hierophant / Ogives Big Band / Straight Girl (Silent Disco set after the headliner)
In terms of tickets, Instalment tickets are now available for a super limited time only. Fans can get tickets from only £28 a month by signing up HERE - but these are only available at this price until 20th November, 2022. This is also the last chance for festival goers to get one of ATG's 3rd release tickets - the price will be going up in the next few weeks
