NICKLAS SONNE Of Defecto Releases Debut Single 'Misery'

 


Nicklas Sonne, best known as the frontman, lead singer, songwriter and producer for the progressive metal band Defecto, has announced his much-anticipated debut solo album 'Resonance' which is set for release in November 2022 via Prime Collective. Alongside the announcement of his new album Nicklas Sonne has dropped his first ever offering in the form of new single ‘Misery’.

Seen as one of Denmark’s biggest musical talents in recent years, Nicklas takes listeners through big symphonic arrangements, equilibristic bombastic choruses, in a grand, yet traditional heavy metal style.

“Misery is an extremely personal song, of a specific situation that happened when i was a little boy, as well as the feelings it created in me during a difficult time as a child split between his parents, in the beginning of an ugly divorce. The song invites the listener through a beast of a single, in a genre I can almost call my own, with old-school heavy metal influences wrapped with classic ‘Sonne choruses’ and melodic layers of classical elements”. - mentions Nicklas.

Also known to perform with groups such as Malrun, Theory and Hank Sherman, now this talented multi-instrumentalist and producer expresses himself on his own terms. In his new album ‘Resonance’ we’ll see 10 tracks all written, arranged, produced, and recorded by himself. The project he dreamt of doing for many years, is finally ready!
