FAUSTIAN Join Black Lion Records + Release Debut Single "Birth of Apparitions"

Louisiana black/death trio FAUSTIAN have inked a deal with Black Lion Records and have released their first single "Birth of Apparitions" via the band's YouTubewill release their self-titled debut EP on Oct. 7 via the Swedish extreme metal label.

Recorded by James Whitten (Thou, High on Fire, Eyehategod), the four-track EP delivers a unique style of blackened death that seemlessly shifts from razor-sharp maelstrom to dirge-like grime as the three-piece meld violent urgency and claustrophobic atmosphere into a frenzied sonic catharsis.

"We are happy to announce the release of the newly-signed FAUSTIAN," says Black Lion Records founder Oliver Dahlback. "Having found this young band through a mutual friend, I was truly blown away by the quality and sound that Faustian delivers."

Faustian will be released Oct. 7 on CD and digital via Black Lion Records. More info will be released in the weeks to come regarding vinyl.
