Brighton punk rockers are back and hitting hard once again with their new video single 'Marco'. They have released a powerful video to accompany the song which was directed by Graham Cullis.
Check out the video for 'Marco' below:
The band states that: "The Message in this video is primarily to promote mental health illness awareness and how we need to cure the mind to help prevent tragedy that often occurs due to ignorance of others dismissing the people that need help."
Although ‘Marco’ was inspired by shootings in the USA such as the Stoneman Douglas High School incident and the YouTube attack in this video shows that gun control is something that needs to be addressed globally. As well as some cases in the US the video also shows footage of the Nairobi mall massacre in Kenya and the aftermath of the Dunblane Primary School in Scotland. SONS are fully behind any campaign aimed at tightening gun laws and making people more responsible with their firearms so that they never end up in the wrong hands again. A campaign that they would like to get behind, in particular, is Never Again MSD.
The song itself is catchy with a raw punk attitude, making for another rocking anthem, something which seems to come easily to the Brighton duo. The songs spirit and vibe accompanies the video's message in a highly effective way. This video single is a must see and gets its message across in a powerful way.
